Adam Mickelsen

Adam Mickelsen, our CEO, embodies dedication and craftsmanship in every project he undertakes. Starting from humble beginnings, Adam spent years building houses in Boulder, Colorado, where he honed his skills as a carpenter and builder. His passion for design led him to explore custom conversion builds in and around Boulder, transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary living environments.

Seeking new challenges and inspiration, Adam moved to Hawaii, where he built residential homes from top to bottom on the beautiful island of Oahu for several years. This experience enriched his expertise and broadened his perspective on design and residential construction.

After returning to Colorado, Adam dedicated several more years to mastering the more precise end of his craft in a top-of-the-line furniture shop. This period was marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and an unwavering commitment to detail and quality.

This period led him in to create Adara Designs.

Today, Adara is thumbing the pulse of fine woodworking, specializing in high-end conversion van build outs. The journey reflects a blend of practical experience and refined skill, making Adara a leader in creating bespoke, high-quality spaces that truly stand out.

At Adara operations are executed with a professional yet approachable demeanor ensuring that every project is a seamless and enjoyable experience.

When not in his workshop or on a job site, Adam can be found outside enjoying the mountains and ocean alike, or at home with his wife and two pups.
